Framing Camera 1 Arrives

In late August 2005, the spacecraft Framing Camera 1 arrived at Orbital Sciences Corporation in Dulles, VA, where it successfully completed bench checkout and interface testing with the spacecraft simulator. This testing included successful completion of the following:

• Comprehensive Performance Test using the Framing Camera's internal "User Defined Program" internal language;
• Comprehensive Performance Test using discrete commands from the project database;
• and a low-level update was sent to the Framing Camera and verified.

Framing Camera 1 will remain in storage at Orbital until the delivery of Framing Camera 2 and integration with the spacecraft.
